Verdi (Quidam de Revel X Landgraf I)

Verdi is a son of world-famous sire Quidam de Revel. Grandsire Landgraf I is also famous and has sired a long list of international jumpers and approved stallions. Verdi descends from the famous Holsteiner damline 747a, which also produced Calato, VDL Bubalu, Vingino, and many more world-class showjumpers and stallions. He has beautiful conformation and very long lines, as well as very good movement in walk, trot and canter. Also important is his lovely, easy character. Verdi is a tall stallion with a lot of scope and technique at the jump.

At the performance test at Ermelo in 2005 Verdi was described as a stallion with a lot of scope and potential as a jumper. He has represented the Netherlands at the highest levels with Maikel van der Vleuten. Recent achievements are Team Gold at the European Championships in Aachen, Team Gold at WEG in Caen 2014, and Team Silver and Individual Bronze at the 2012 London Olympics. Verdi was also in the Dutch team at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics where he jumped three clear rounds! He competed at the European Championships in Madrid 2011, European Championships in Herning 2013, and European Championship in Aachen 2015. In addition, Verdi took part in no less than three World Cup Finals, in which he finished twice as 6th and once as 7th! Verdi is now enjoying his well-deserved retirement.

Verdi’s offspring prove themselves time and again. Son Chaplin won three Global Champion Tours, Evita SG was second in the GP of Falsterbo, Fleurette won the World Cup in Washington, Varoune became the champion of Belgium and Ibelle and Cuidam participated in the world championships in Tryon. After dominating the showjumping sport for many years, Verdi is now one of the top sires worldwide.
